Sharp UK celebrates three wins at the 2021 PrintIT Awards

Sharp UK is delighted to announce that it has won in three categories at the PrintIT Awards 2021. At the in-person London ceremony on Tuesday 7th December, the Sharp team won awards for ‘Partner Programme of the Year’, ‘OEM Marketing Team of the Year’, and ‘Account Manager of the Year’.

The 2021 PrintIT Awards celebrated the achievements of the vital, ever-changing print and IT technology sector with a comprehensive programme of awards covering all aspects of the industry. Following on from its success in the inaugural 2020 awards, where the company also won ‘Partner Programme of the Year’, Sharp UK attended the 2021 ceremony with seven nominations across five categories.

Sharp UK won in three out of the five categories, with its nominees in the ‘Account Manager of the Year’ category receiving both the main award and the Highly Commended certification. The further two wins were for the Sharp UK marketing team in the ‘OEM Marketing Team of the Year’ category, and a second consecutive win for ‘Partner Programme of the Year’.

The win in the ‘Partner Programme of the Year’ category celebrates the newly refreshed scheme, which was launched in September this year and provides essential support and growth for Sharp’s technology partners

Paul Leach, Dealer Sales Director at Sharp UK, said: “It is fantastic to win Partner Programme of the Year for the second consecutive year. At Sharp, we are committed to our Partners, and our mission is simple - ‘to make technology easy’, and I believe this win is testament to that mentality. We currently support over 80 Partners nationwide with a vast array of technology products and support services, and I’m proud to say they strengthen their position within their chosen marketplace as a result.”

Sharp UK’s Marketing team was honoured for its tireless work over the past year, optimising and launching numerous systems to enable better tracking and reporting on its activities. The team also launched a number of new initiatives to support its network of partners through the very real and rapidly changing challenges of the pandemic.

Stuart Sykes, Managing Director at Sharp UK, said: “Despite the uncertainty and upheaval of the last 12 months, our Marketing team have continued to enhance the support they provide to our partners, focusing on the development of many digital platforms, campaigns, and countless new initiatives that add value. It is embedded in the culture of our Marketing Team to continually improve what they provide to both customers and partners, so their win for OEM Marketing Team of the Year is highly deserved.”

Lastly, Gary Risley was named Account Manager of the Year – a testament to his 21 years of excellent service to Sharp UK. His colleague Joe Hughes was also Highly Commended for the same category, demonstrating the strength of Sharp’s team of Account Managers.

Paul Leach concludes: “I am so pleased for both Joe and Gary. Their hands-on approach to account management has had a lasting impact and made a real difference for Sharp. Well done Joe and congratulations Gary.”
