Sharp maintains top spot on KCS Procurement Services framework

Sharp has today announced that it has been re-awarded a place on the latest KCS Procurement Services framework, on behalf of the Central Buying Consortium (CBC), and has been appointed to provide organisations across the country with a full range of Multifunction Print Devices, Audio Visual technologies and Digital Transformation solutions.

KCS Procurement Services part of the Commercial Service Group completed a procurement on behalf of the CBC, an alliance of public sector organisations and has awarded a position on the framework to Sharp. Through their work, they lead on the provision of goods and services available to publicly funded bodies to access, including local government, education services, the care sector and the emergency services. Sharp has claimed the top spot on their framework since 2012, with the latest win ensuring another four years supporting the public sector.

Of course, today more than ever, cost reductions and product reliability are critical factors across the public sector marketplace. Sharp’s fundamental role on the framework will be to help organisations across the board overcome these challenges with high-quality, dependable, and secure technology, services and associated consultancy.

As well as the services Sharp will provide, the company was specifically commended for its proposed social impact initiatives, and ways it will further support organisations it will partner, the communities in which they operate, and wider environmental impact.

Sharp was awarded first place on LOT 1 and LOT 2, which includes:

  • LOT 1 – Leased and Purchased Multi-Functional Devices and Digital Solutions – this covers the provision of multi-functional devices and digital solutions, to include both A4 and A4/A3 networked and standalone multi-functional devices, printers, high volume print room devices and wide format printers, all with the option of CPC maintenance.
  • LOT 2 – Digital Transformation and Associated Services – digital transformation is the process of using digital technologies to create new, or modify existing, business processes, culture, and customer experiences to meet changing customer needs and requirements.

The CBC Framework is headed up by KCS Procurement Services, a trading unit of Commercial Services Group - a wholly owned business unit of Kent County Council. It provides a range of national, Public Contract Regulation 2015 compliant Framework Agreements, as well as purchasing, warehousing and distribution services to a wide-ranging customer base within local government and associated public bodies across the UK.

Stuart Sykes, Managing Director at Sharp UK, said: “The CBC Framework is a highly important contract for Sharp and I am delighted that we have the opportunity to work with the team again for another term. Not only is this win a testament to the high-quality support we can provide as a trusted technology provider, but also to our inherent understanding of supporting organisations across the public sector.

“Sharp has enjoyed a long partnership with KCS Procurement Services and the CBC, and we have a deep understanding about the types of organisations it works with, the challenges they face, and ways our products and services can help them grow. Sharp has always been and remains truly committed to this long-term relationship as a key part of our business strategy.”
