Since 2002, SPR Energie GmbH has been synonymous with expertise and excellence in the planning and installation of solar systems throughout Germany. The activities of this partnership with Sharp Energy Solutions Europe are most evident in the area known as the Altes Land in Northern Germany, where SPR Energie holds a very high market share in the solar energy sector. SPR Energie serves over 70% of the market, with more than half of the installed systems utilising high-quality solar modules from Sharp. The Altes Land is the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Europe.
A glimpse into SPR Energie's current main activities and projects in the Altes Land highlights the company’s versatility and innovative spirit. Typical projects in the Altes Land range in size from 30 kWp to 250 kWp, offering a variety of challenges and opportunities for sustainable energy generation. The choice of Sharp solar modules for these projects is the result of a long-standing partnership based on trust, quality, and service.
Especially notable is the partnership with the Elbe-Obst Producer Organization (Association of the region's fruit producers), which, like few other companies in the Altes Land region, stands out for biodiversity, species conservation, and sustainability. The headquarter in Hollern-Twielenfleth and other locations such as in Jork or Neuenfelde, where apples from the region are stored, processed, sorted, packaged, and shipped year-round, often in multiple shifts, are equipped with solar panel installations or will be in the future. Each location is assessed and continuously expanded.
The future of solar energy in the Altes Land remains promising, despite challenges and uncertainties in the market.
